Typically, I begin with a prompt provided by my professors or potential clients. Prompts can be as detailed or as vague as a client desires, but more often than not, these include possible themes, colour palettes or potential motifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photo above shows my studio space, where I complete the vast majority of my assignments and commissions. The first step is always preliminary sketching, traditionally. Some psychologists say writing physically improves memory retention, but this is, at the very least, true for me. In my sketchbook, I work out composition,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
