I chose to curate my favourite pieces from recent work, so I could write what’s important to me. Diversity is a touchstone in painting and illustration for me. Studying different cultures and ethic backgrounds not only makes a character more visually interesting, but also allows me to connect with more people. I’m also invested in creating intimate moments by working small before going big. I apply this by working in a sketch book before working on the final. I also use this line of thinking when making prints of my paintings and illustrations.
